Sun Coast breaks 1000 employee mark: not slowing down

Sun Coast now has close to 1,100 employees in early December 2011. This is remarkable for two reasons:

  1. Sun Coast had less than half that number in 2010 at just 450 employees
  2. In a very difficult economy Sun Coast has continued to flourish and provide customers the best services available, which has allowed us to support American workers by continuing to create hundreds of jobs.

Just to show how amazing this past year has been, we wanted to break down our employee numbers for every five years since Kathy Lehne started Sun Coast in 1985.

  • 1985: Employees: 2
  • 1990: Employees: 11
  • 1995: Employees: 76
  • 2000: Employees: 146
  • 2005: Employees: 304
  • 2010: Employees: 447
  • 2011: Employees: 1,050

As Sun Coast continues to grow, we only become more able to provide the highest standard of product. This motivation to offer the best customer service in America will continue to drive Sun Coast forward into the future.

That’s why, on Saturday,October 22, Sun Coast will be hosting its first ever hiring event for CDL Drivers!

The event will be held at Ben Bruce Memorial Airpark Raceway beginning at 12pm. This is a great opportunity to find a great job is a tough economy, don’t miss out!

New website coming! Here's a sneak preview

Alright Sun Coast followers!

Sun Coast is growing incredibly fast and has needed a refreshed website for some time…now it is almost here. Over the past few months we have been working closely with designers and have been fine-tuning the website. Right now we are in the final stretch and are excited as we close in on the launch date!

We wanted to give you a sneak peek at what the website will look like come launch date. If you look closely you will notice that some of the content is incoherent, that is because this is a layout presentation and not the actual website.

 

Sun Coast Resource's refreshed and redesigned website

New feature Presentation/Tour:

  • New Buttons: Classy following button in the top right corner
  • New Navigation Menu: Beautiful blue drop-down-menu navigation bar
  • New Blog Feed: The latest news from Sun Coast’s Fueling the Future blog with snip-it and link across the top
  • New Newsletter Sign-up: A little down and to the right we have a space where you can join our wonderful monthly company newsletter by simply entering your name and email address
  • New Press Corner: Below that we have our “Press Corner”, where you can see the latest press release about Sun Coast’s amazing accomplishments (as we seem to have more and more of these days)
  • Re-designed Company Newsletter Section: And below that you will see our Company Newsletter section, where you will find all of the company newsletters from the current year (We are also going to be adding a “News” page where you will be able to find an archive of all of Sun Coast’s press releases. We are always finding ways to improve this already amazing new design.)
  • New Customer Testimonials: Below that we are going to have a Customer Testimonial. At Sun Coast the customer always comes first, and we want to allow our satisfied customers to share their experiences with the world.
  • Re-designed Footer: Across the bottom you will see a beautiful, blue, smooth-edged footer, which includes contact information, following buttons, and quick links for the website

 

A big thanks goes out to InMotion Design and our primary designer Erin, for their work on this project.

There is still work to do, but we will be ready for launch very soon!
