The Houston Business Journal held its inaugural Women Who Mean Business awards event on May 11 at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel, and around 400 businesspeople joined the celebration.

Forty finalists in an array of industries were honored for their career achievement, contribution to company and city success, community involvement and leadership. A panel of judges, listed below, selected the finalists from nearly 170 nominations.

Kathy Lehne, President/ CEO of Sun Coast Resources, LLC, was recognized at the event for being nominated as a finalist in The Houston Business Journal’s inaugural Women Who Mean Business awards in the for-profit category. Sun Coast would like to congratulate winners, Beth Williams and Denise Castillo-Rhodes.
