The 2013 Gulf Coast Oil & Gas Awards Gala was held at the Westin Galleria Hotel in Houston, Texas on the evening of March 18, 2014. Hundreds of attendees gathered to pay tribute to 74 finalist companies vying for 1st place honors in twenty-seven award categories.  Sun Coast took top honors in the Bulk Trucking Company of the Year Category.  Kathy Lehne, founder and CEO of Sun Coast, along with several of her management team, accepted the award.

According to Daniel Creasey, Chairman, of the Oil & Gas Awards, “The Oil & Gas Awards recognize the outstanding achievements made within the Upstream and Midstream sectors of the U.S. Oil and Gas and Industry.  The Awards are a platform for the industry to demonstrate and celebrate the advance made in the key areas of the environment, efficiency, innovation, corporate social responsibility and health and safety.”
