Since Kathy Lehne, founder, president and CEO of Sun Coast Resources, Inc., opened her doors in the spring of 1985, Sun Coast has become one of the largest wholesale petroleum marketers in the nation.
Through the years, Sun Coast has received many awards. Particularly gratifying was the recognitions by the Houston Business Journal and Houston Chronicle as one of the “Best Places to Work” and “Top Work Places 2012.”
Headquartered in Houston, Sun Coast also operates out of 15 additional office and bulk plant facilities in Texas and Louisiana, located in close proximity to its large customer base. Sun Coast’s product line includes a wide array of petroleum products including gasoline, ultra low sulfur diesel fuel, marine diesel, jet fuel, avgas, kerosene and a full line of Chevron, Total, Conoco, Phillips 66 and Mystik lubrication products. Sun Coast purchases its petroleum products directly from world-class refiners, and operates a modern, proprietary delivery fleet of more than 1,000 trucks.
Sun Coast provides prompt, courteous personalized service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is licensed to do business in 39 states. Sun Coast understands and appreciates the importance of high quality, competitively priced products, superlative customer focus and friendly service. As one of the largest Chevron lubrication marketers in the United States, Sun Coast is totally committed to “Quality Fuels & Lubricants.”

Sun Coast has a working inventory of over 10,000 fuel and lubricant tanks in support of its outstanding tank loan program, including skid mounted and overhead tanks, frack tanks, aviation certified tanks, lubricant tanks and emergency ISO tanks.
Sun Coast’s delivery fleet includes transports, bobtails, vacuum trucks, lube trucks, lowboys, pick-ups and roll-backs for relocating tanks and equipment.
Sun Coast is one of the nation’s largest Emergency Fuel service providers, specializing in generator and on-site fueling during times of peril. Sun Coast also has a Mobile Field Command Center and a fleet of RVs for temporary housing for use during disaster response activities. Sun Coast provides fuel supply services and equipment to governmental agencies, utilities, communication companies, delivery services and other fleet operators when emergency situations such as hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and other severe weather conditions and related natural disasters create power interruptions, supply outages, or supply access restrictions.
While Kathy Lehne maintains a close watch on Sun Coast’s day-to-day operations, Kathy’s husband Kyle, also fills a large role in the company as head of the sales and marketing team, as well as director of Emergency Response. Kathy and Kyle’s three children often lend a hand at the office. Kathy enjoys skiing, running, biking, and has completed the Chevron Houston Marathon, as well as the MS 150.
